TIC was founded in 1979 by Mr. E. Crone Knoy, P.E., when he became aware of a need within the water storage industry for professional, unbiased, third-party information about the condition of water storage tanks. Since that time, TIC has grown to become a nationally recognized leader in evaluation and design of steel plate and concrete structures of all types.

Today, Tank Industry Consultants has a staff of more than 40 registered professional engineers, field technicians, and specially trained support personnel--with offices nationwide. In all, TIC's staff has over 750 years of experience in the storage tank industry! Our staff successfully combines practical experience with "textbook" learning and extensive involvement in industry organizations and training programs.
